Hi. I'm Joe Hotchkiss and I work as a computer programmer. Ok, officially I'm a "Principal Software Engineer" but I'm quite happy with "computer programmer".

For recreation - and to keep fit - I usually play badminton several times a week and go scuba diving as often as possible. In practice, that's usually once or twice a month from about March to October. Winter weather tends to make life unpleasant for divers in the UK, but this year (2009) I've managed at least one dive trip each month from January to May, when I'm writing this. This web site is a rewrite from scratch, so there's not much content at the moment. The main push for writing something again was to show how I've been processing some of my diving photos.

I've also been playing with videos on my compact camera, and YouTube seemed the obvious place to put the results. Links to videos here. I've also added a Facebook entry.

I've been taking pictures since I was about 7 years old. I was born in 1959, so that's quite a few pictures and I've gone through several cameras.
