Hi. I'm Joe Hotchkiss.

For recreation - and to keep fit - I play badminton and go to Ruislip and Northwood BSAC Club and Ruislip Snorkelling Club. I used to scuba dive fairly regularly - usually once or twice a month from about March to October. Winter weather tends to make life unpleasant for divers in the UK, but in 2009 I managed at least one dive trip each month from January to June, including an ice dive in January. I've been rather pre-occupied since then but I'm starting to pick up the diving again having become a BSAC Open Water Instructor. More about my diving here.

2007: I've been playing with videos on my compact camera, and YouTube seemed the obvious place to put the results . Links to videos here or here.

I've been taking pictures since I was about 7 years old. I was born in 1959, so that's quite a few pictures and I've gone through several cameras.

I'm currently unemployed but used to work as a computer programmer. Ok, officially, I was "Principal Systems Engineer" but I'm quite happy with "computer programmer". Quite a few years ago I wrote an expression parser for my own amusement. The result is here if that sort of thing amuses you.
